In all of its decades of service to the blind, Insight for the Blind has never received financial support from any federal, state, city, county or community service agency. We depend completely on gifts, grants and bequests from the private sector. Gifts from individuals and organizations are the only means we have for providing facilities, equipment and administration necessary to create “Talking Books” for the blind. There are many who are counting on us … we are counting on you. Insight also welcomes gifts of stocks and securities, either as part of a trust or estate plan. Gifts in any amount are critically needed and all go towards our program service of producing Talking Books.
Insight for the Blind is registered as a 501 ( c)(3) charitable organization with the Internal Revenue Service. ALL GIFTS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. We are also registered with the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs in Tallahassee. Memorial or honoring gifts: Your gift can have additional meaning if you choose to donate in honor of, or in memory of, someone. Insight will send a special card to those you designate to receive notification of your honor or memorial gift.
Planned Gifts: Gifts made through your will and trusts are ways you can help to provide Insight with an ongoing source of income.
Corporate Matching Gifts: Your place of work may offer a matching gift program, which could double your gift to Insight. Talk to the Personnel or Human Resource Department, who can tell you if this is an option.
Your support, at any level, will help the volunteers at Insight continue producing Talking Books & Magazines for blind and print-handicapped children and adults.
